Haridwar means ‘the abode of Lord Vishnu’ is a Hindu religious and  pilgrimage site. It is one of the most populous cities of Uttarakhand with millions of people flocking here each year to participate in the annual pilgrimage. Hola amigos, I am back with another travel itinerary from last month, where I have visited Rishikesh & Haridwar at the weekend with my friends. We met on weekend evenings and started brainstorming for places which we can cover in a weekend. So we had thought of Amritsar and 2nd place came to our mind is Rishikesh. It’s summer time for Delhiites, so we stick with Rishikesh considering all the adventure activities like River Rafting, Cliff jumping, Camping, Trekking and sightseeing. Journey Started at 8 PM via Delhi Metro to ISBT Kashmiri Gate We had booked Volvo Bus via PayTm a day before for 11PM direct from Delhi to Rishikesh. The bus ride was quite easy and convenient. We reached around 8 AM in the morning as there is some Road construction work going on at the Delhi-Haridwar highway (NH - 58). Hey, Everyone! I am back again from my recent family trip with my parents and cousin’s, and it was a wonderful trip full of beautiful memories and spending quality time with your family. We have started our journey from Faridabad (My Home) in my Car at 10:30 AM; I am sure that it would be a long day as we have to cover around 300 Km’s of the distance across four states ( Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand ). Finally reached Mussoorie at 8 PM (taken few tea breaks and lunch in between the whole journey). Checked in Hotel at 8.30 PM. It was a hectic journey as the road in Mussoorie are two way only and overtaking is also prohibited in Hilly areas. Mussoorie, with its green hills and varied flora and fauna, is one of my childhood fantasies. We start at around 9.30 PM; we had our dinner in Hotel itself.
