Hey, Everyone!
I am back again from my recent family trip with my parents and cousin’s, and it was a wonderful trip full of beautiful memories and spending quality time with your family.
We have started our journey from Faridabad (My Home) in my Car at 10:30 AM; I am sure that it would be a long day as we have to cover around 300 Km’s of the distance across four states (Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand). Finally reached Mussoorie at 8 PM (taken few tea breaks and lunch in between the whole journey). Checked in Hotel at 8.30 PM. It was a hectic journey as the road in Mussoorie are two way only and overtaking is also prohibited in Hilly areas. Mussoorie, with its green hills and varied flora and fauna, is one of my childhood fantasies.
We start at around 9.30 PM; we had our dinner in Hotel itself. Finally, our Mussoorie trip kickstarted from Mall Road (6000 Feet above sea level) with clicking pictures and feeling the fresh breeze of Mall Road. We had Hot Kulhad Wala Milk & Butter Scotch Ice-creams. Went to Hotel at around 11.30 PM and taken sleep with blankets, As temperature outside was 10’C.
Next Morning, we woke up at 7 AM, and amazed after seeing the outside view from Hotel Room is just treat to watch, Mountains covered with snow; clouds are just beside you and fresh air blowing your hair.
Here’s a video from my Hotel Room :)
After that, we had a heavy breakfast (Aloo & Paneer Parathas) from a nearby Punjabi Restaurant in Mall Road. At 10 AM, we are heading back towards Dehradun from Mussoorie.
Bhatta Falls which is 7 km from Mussoorie on Mussoorie-Dehradun highway near Bhatta Village. Accessible by car or bus up to Bhatta from where the fall is 2.5 km by foot. Bhatta Falls is a first tourist picnic spot. Tourists can see several original photography locations to catch nature at its best. Here, you can get refreshing water. Visitors like to bath with fun at the pond.

This walk will take you to 3-4 hours to the whole day depending on how much you would like to enjoy the natural scenery and how much time you have.

Next Destination, Robber's Cave (locally known as Guchhupani) is a river cave formation located approximately 8 km from the center of Dehradun City (Uttarakhand, India).

P.S. : Pics inside Robber's Cave, are not that good coz of water.
Once we are done with Robber's Cave, Dehradun. It's time to head back to Haridwar. On the way, it was heavy traffic jam due to Navratri and festive season. It took us around 4-5 hours including lunch to reach Haridwar. Haridwar is truly kaleidoscope to the culture of India. Haridwar is one of the most famous holy cities in India. It's simply good to see river Ganga for yourself and the atmosphere there was superb. It was an immensely spiritual experience to dip in holy Ganga river at the time of sunset.
And so our beautiful family trip ended :) :)
Mussoorie, Dehradun & Haridwar turned out to be a lot more than we expected. These are charming cities with so much to offer to visitors. I do wish we had a little more time to explore these places. Have you been to Mussoorie, Dehradun & Haridwar? What did you like most about these cities? Kindly mention in comments.
Hope you have enjoyed our journey.
All the Pics are clicked by me except the one at Robber's Cave.
We are planning a trip to all three places, hopefully soon. Thanks for this post, it will be very helpful when we do. I love the details you've added.
